I remember sitting on a bus into town on a night out when a nut-jack bone-head came and sat next to me on the back seat. He initiated conversation....to cut a long story short he made a point, I asked him "can you elucidate on that?"(partially taking the piss) He looked at me in a constipated "I'm going to rip your head off" way before his demeanor changed and he started to gently nod, before eventually saying..........."yes, you can."
